I
firmly believe that every dog can be housetrained. Over the years, I’ve helped thousands of
people housebreaking their dog and that’s how I was able to develop an easy to
follow 7-step technique.
It had to
be simple and straightforward, but most of all it had to WORK for ALL
dogs.
The
7-step method is based on one of the most fundamental principles of dog
training: consistency.
What
are the seven steps?
-
Get your dog out of his crate or his domain and put his leash
on;
-
Accompany him to his elimination zone or toilet
stop;
-
DON’T say a word until he starts
eliminating;
-
When he’s getting down to business, say your command
word;
-
Praise him like crazy for eliminating at the right
place;
-
Play with your dog a couple of minutes at
least;
-
Bring your dog back to his crate or
domain.
If
you follow these steps every time your dog needs to eliminate, you’ll have a
housetrained dog in no time, guaranteed!
“DON’T
forget that you are dealing with a dog. He won’t understand what you want
until you have taught him in the simplest way. That’s why I use the
seven-step technique. It’s easy to follow and can’t be more clear from a
dog’s point of view.”
Tomorrow,
you’ll receive details and tips on the
seventh chapter: “A schedule for everyone".
